PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
The device begins operating automatically the moment it is placed in seawater, thanks to the smart conductive sensors in its body. It emits high-power acoustic signals at random frequencies that continuously vary between 5 kHz and 400 kHz. Marine mammals (dolphins) become accustomed to fixed-frequency sounds over time and may approach the device. The DOLPINGER Li-18’s advanced adaptive frequency algorithm constantly scrambles the sound sequence. This makes it impossible for the animals to adapt to the sound or build up immunity, ensuring long-term and reliable protection. It switches off automatically as soon as it is removed from the water to save energy.
Dolphins can cause significant damage to nets and result in catch losses whilst attempting to reach fish trapped within them. By helping marine mammals to stay away from nets, DOLPINGER contributes to reducing net damage and ensuring fishing operations are carried out more efficiently.
